Walk into a POLO Ralph Lauren or GAP store and you won't notice the fixtures — but it is precisely because they are quiet, clean and just right that the brand's story is framed just so. This fixture maker, with 40 years of experience, dresses the "face" of global brands — and a face tolerates neither unevenness nor delay.

The solution

A MLX High Performance Sheet Laser paired with an HY Hybrid Press Brake forms a flexible cell: the laser switches quickly between different display parts, the brake forms them at programmed angles — so design changes reach the floor in a short time.

Results

  • Fast style switching and short changeover keep pace with retail refreshes
  • Laser micro-joints allow dense nesting of small parts and high utilization
  • Cutting and bending from one source keep quality and lead time in control
Late the night before a launch, the design changed and samples were due in-store the next morning. When a fresh display appeared on the floor on time, lines clean and consistent, the marketing team exhaled — it turned out "on time" and "done well" could be the same thing.

Laser flexibility & bend springback in high-mix, low-volume

Stamping needs a die for every shape — uneconomical for low volume, high variety. Laser cutting needs no tooling: update the program to change designs, naturally suited to retail fit-out. Bending must handle springback — sheet rebounds slightly after forming; the 6+1 Hybrid Brake compensates the angle by material and thickness in software, keeping every batch of fixtures consistent — vital to brand-image consistency.
